Game Objective

Players must compete against each other to have the biggest collection of trees. Strategize wisely as you defend against attacks from other players. Whoever has the most points by the end of the game wins.

How to Play

1. Starting the Game

 

  • Each player draws 2 Tree cards and places them in front of them.

​

  • Each player also draws 2 Action cards to hold in their hand.

 

2. Your Turn

 

  • Draw 2 Tree cards and 2 Action cards at the start of your turn.

​

  • You can only hold up to 5 Action cards at a time.

 

  • Taking Actions (Up to 3 per turn)

 

  • You can attack other players' trees or support your own.

 

3. Stacking Attacks

 

  • If you have matching hazard cards, you can stack them for a stronger attack.

​

  • You can only stack up to 2 cards, and it counts as 2 actions.

4. Defending Against Attacks

 

  • The defending player can use support cards to block an attack (if they have any).

​

  • This works even against stacked attacks!

 

5. Losing a Tree Card

 

  • If a player can’t defend, the attacked Tree card goes to their graveyard.

 

6. Winning the Game

 

  • The game ends when the Tree deck is empty and players have no Action cards left.

​

  • The player with the most points from their remaining Tree cards wins!

Card Types

Tree Cards

The core of the game, serving as the main source of points. Each card represents endangered tree species in the Philippines with unique values, strengths, and weaknesses.

Support Cards

They defend against hazard cards, offering passive effects or full counterattacks. They represent various methods of combating deforestation.

hazard icon.png

Hazard Cards

Attacks opponents' trees, representing natural and manmade causes of deforestation. These cards reflect the various reasons why deforestation is a problem whether it is a natural or manmade disaster.

season icon.png

Season Cards

These add points and serve as a first defense against attacks. They can only be placed on specific trees based on the humid or dry season.
